Website Launch: ONCAT lightbulb rocket
News type

Welcome to oncat.ca! We’ve been working hard to create a new information hub designed to better serve our postsecondary network. The updated site includes changes to navigation, with new streamlined menus that are also mobile friendly. We’ve also improved the structure of our content, so it’s easier to read and find what you are looking for. Perhaps the biggest change is that you are now able to easily search for past projects and research.

When we first started the redesign we had big ideas, from updating our messaging, to helping our community easily navigate from one place to the next without missing out on our most important content. After months of work, we have completely changed the way we previously used our site, which now allows us the ability to feature our many initiatives, projects, and partners.

The homepage showcases not only our new corporate video, but our many initiatives and projects, as well as all our college and university partners. At the top, you’ll see a link for news, which is where you’ll find our press releases, a contact button to get in touch with us, a search feature, and underneath, the ONTransfer.ca icon that links up to the student website. To sign up for the ONCAT newsletter, simply scroll to the bottom of the page.

The menu is now broken down into three categories. The “about us” section highlights who we are, and includes information on the ONCAT team, our board of directors, and our pan-Canadian partners. The “projects” section is where you’ll now be able to search for past projects and research using keywords; a long-awaited change from our old site. And finally, we have “our expertise” section which is broken down into three subcategories: resources, groups, and events. In these sections you’ll find all our brochures and other documents like the Principles for Credit Transfer and our Annual Report, information about our various committees and our communities of practice, as well as important dates pertaining to our ONTransfer Day, the conference, and other postsecondary conferences and student fairs taking place throughout the year.

There are many other new features that we hope you’ll take the time to explore. We hope you like the changes, and if you have any feedback, please let us know by completing the survey.

Thanks for the support!

The Ontario Council on Articulation and Transfer (ONCAT) was created to develop a system of mobility for students by building academic pathways and course equivalencies through its network of Ontario’s 45 colleges and universities. With more than 52,000 students transferring every year, ONCAT helps to remove barriers for students, making their postsecondary education more seamless and affordable.
