The Ontario Council on Articulation and Transfer (ONCAT), established by the Government of Ontario in 2011, envisions a postsecondary education and training system that empowers learners to build upon their previous education and work experience to achieve their personal, educational, and professional goals. Our aim is to get students where they want to go, no matter where they begin.
At ONCAT, we are guided by core values that include being learner-centred, adaptable, collaborative, and dedicated to creating measurable impact. We believe in fostering an environment of knowledge sharing, rooted in a commitment to equity, diversity, access, and inclusion. These values underpin everything we do, driving us to support students' diverse needs and aspirations.
As Ontario’s student mobility and pathways expert, ONCAT’s mandate is to drive innovation and maximize opportunities for institutional collaboration, recognizing prior learning, creating academic pathways, and supporting learner transitions into the labour market. We do this through various initiatives, such as supporting projects aimed at expanding credit transfer pathways, engaging with Ontario's regions and communities, collecting transfer data, hosting events, and connecting students to transfer information through ONTransfer.ca.
By working collaboratively with our dedicated network of members and stakeholders, ONCAT is expanding opportunities for learner mobility in Ontario.
Sincerely,
Dr. Adrienne Galway
