In ONCAT’s newest report — “What the 2024 University/College Applicant Study Tells Us About Transfer” — Jeffrey Napierala draws on survey responses from 41,351 applicants to 21 Ontario postsecondary institutions.

The report highlights key insights about ways that students make decisions related to their postsecondary education.

The University/College Applicant Study (UCAS) is an annual survey conducted by the Academica Group that gathers data about applicants to postsecondary institutions across Canada. For the past two years, ONCAT has partnered with Academica to expand the survey’s consideration of student mobility and transfer experiences in Ontario. This partnership introduced new questions focused on students’ educational backgrounds, reasons for transferring and overall expectations.
